Still A Genius

That Nick Krgovich is a creative genius isn't news. But when it looked like P:ano was winding down, I wondered what he'd get into next and if he'd be able continue putting out such amazing records. Slow jams, sung in a white-boy soul falsetto devoted to the films of Douglas Sirk was a bit of a surprise, but the fact that it's so good isn't.

As I see it, this is his best work to date. No Kids is 3/4 of P:ano and a bunch of other Vancouver musicians and the album is fantastic. I can't wait to see them live.

Bonus: this is him jamming with Phil Elvrum (of Microphones/Mt Eerie fame).
I hear they recorded this while wearing matching rolled-up white pants and flip flops. It can be found on the stellar compilation, David Shrigley's Worried Noodles, which (along with the No Kids' album "Come Into My House") is out now on TomLab now.
