This track was gleaned from archive.org. In case there was any doubt in your mind about LA being the raddest place on the planet, I give you foot foot playing in a park in Thousand Oaks, CA. Even though Thousand Oaks is an hour and a half from downtown (a millions hours if there is any traffic), it's still basically a suburb of a suburb of Burbank which is more or less a suburb of LA. The park has been host to the Nature Show series of concerts.

Now imagine if mainstream MTV culture tapped into how awesome it was to live in the suburbs. Imagine if the open space, cleanliness and distraction free atmosphere was glorified. Imagine if kids everywhere stopped dreaming about moving to Portland and started putting on basements shows non-stop, building crazy skate parks and filling abandon lots with anything and everything projects.

A trip to Prince Rupert BC, which tool is needed next, no alarm clocks: these are all things that I anticipate. In the RECORDED MUSIC category, topping the list is The Blankket's Be Your Own Boss. It has been years in the works. It's four songs. Regardless of how good/terrible it may end up, I will love it. Nothing can destroy this for me.
