Patience and Understanding

Before you pass this song off as complete novelty, let me explain the value of simple things. Imagine summing up Leonard Cohen's Bird on a Wire as I have tried, in my own way, to be free. For a talentless, poorly read, unoriginal waste of time like myself, hoping for the entirety of Bird on a Wire is a pipe dream, BUT I have tried, in my own way, to be free could maybe fall together in my head (well, typing randomly at 200 wpm in chunks of 40 characters on restricting myself to only 28 keys, it would take about 1 x 10^50 years). So a song like this gives a guy like me hope - the possibility of one single, simple, great idea is very real and powerful.

Think - Things get a Little Bit Easier

O M G -- I had this Think 7" single as a child!!! This was a modest, AM-radio hit in the early 70's. It resonated with every kid who had a less than great family situation going on, or big brothers or sisters who smoked pot or did drugs (my hand is raised on both!)

Later, in the mid-90's, the "died from an overdose" line was sampled by Acen on the track "Close Your Eyes".

AWESOME!
