Destroyer Post Update

For the three of you waiting for another installment of the Early Destroyer Songs series, I'll be probably post one or two more songs in the next couple of weeks. To tide you over, here's a link to an alternate solo-Bejar only version of one of my favorite Destroyer songs from his hands-down best album, Streethawk: A Seduction.

Destroyer - Streethawk II

(The link is to a streaming .m3u file, which will play in Winamp or iTunes or whatever it is that you people use, from the Merge Records website. While you're there, be sure to listen to the stream of the awesome Neutral Milk Hotel B-side Engine.)

Here is another cool link. Scroll to the 36:00 mark and listen to some live solo Destroyer on WFMU.

Thank you for that beautiful song. Would you know where I could get his earlier stuff (prior to 1995's city of daughters)?
thanx

Nana, I'm pretty sure that you're out of luck if you want to find any pre 1995 destroyer stuff. You could try emailing Scratch Records (www.scratchrecords.com) because they distributed most of the early destroyer stuff, but I doubt they would have any.

here's a tip for you folks what don't know: when you d/l an m3u file, just open it up in a text editor and voila! the full path to the downloadable mp3 shall be revealed.

Also in Winamp if you look at the File Info it will give you the path of the mp3 on the server.
